We’re part of Gunnebo, a group of companies with a mission to make a safer world. Gunnebo Group is a global leader in security, offering innovative products and services to control the flow of people, valuables, and cash.

We operate as a business with its own governance, social and environmental impacts; but as part of group of companies, it’s important we share and align on an approach that makes it possible to understand the complete picture. That’s where the Gunnebo Sustainability Approach comes into play, serving as the guiding vision for our own strategy.

Critical, robust and independent assessment of activity is of vital importance in building a fair and transparent picture of our progress to being a more sustainable business

A pathway of action

Becoming a sustainable business involves taking action on many fronts. Through understanding and reducing the carbon emissions generated through our operations, products and value chain, we develop products in line with our Sustainable Design Framework. Alongside, optimising our supply chain through collaboration with suppliers and partners and by forging meaningful partnerships that help achieve our goals and extend our reach, we’re on pathway to a business that operates more sustainably.

Sustainable design framework

Our Sustainable Design Framework has been established to make sure future products are designed with the lowest possible environmental impact. Through principles of decreasing energy and material carbon intensity, optimising materials, sizes and cost, and increasing recycled content, longevity, recyclability and user accessibility; the framework will ensure that we create entrance control systems from a sustainability-first mindset.

Our gates use serviceable electronic components such as batteries and circuit boards, which until recently had been sent to landfill. Our Service Department Sustainability Champion knew there had to be a better way and so has implemented a programme for the recycling of our old batteries and motors.

Extending the life of our gates

Through upgrades and retrofits we keep gates in use for longer.

Upgrading rather than replacing is not only generally more cost-effective, it also helps to extend the service life of your gate. Our gates are designed to be completely serviceable and upgradeable so you can enjoy the latest performance.
