OverGate is the ultimate entrance control solution, managing multiple tasks including control of entrances, voice communication, passage verification, customer counting, remote station communication, fire alarm and anti shoplifting, barcode reader interfacing and SELF area management to secure your supermarket and hypermarkets.

Benefits of OverGate

OverGate combines advanced security with seamless customer flow within your supermarket or hypermarket. It can be configurated to integrate anti shoplifting antennas, barcode readers, receipt scanning (with reader column) and remote control access.

BYAS Kit

The BYAS photocell is positioned in the back lane passageway and is an accessory designed to minimise unauthorised transit through the gates. It gives an audible alarm to alert users if they attempt to pass in the wrong direction.

The alarm automatically deactivates after a set time (customisable) or when the user exits through the correct passageway. Another option is the system can be set to close the gate arms to further prevent unauthorised access in the wrong direction.

Receipt Scanning

The OverGate can be integrated with NCR, Nixdorf, and IBM where a barcode reader validates receipts and automatically opens the gate for verified transactions only, where it can be sure the customer has paid.

The system operates in three modes. ‘Standalone Mode’ works independently, verifying receipts based on date, time and checkout number. The ‘Standalone (Wired) Mode’ connects via CAT 6, allowing remote updates and maintenance whilst maintaining full privacy without accessing the store’s internal network. ‘Host Mode’ the system integrates with the store’s network, enabling real time receipt validation and requires collaboration with retailer IT system.

LED Lighting

LED lighting on OverGate can improve both functionality and customer experience. Strategically placed LED indicators on top of the columns provide clear visual guidance, helping customers easily identify when passage is authorised. This reduces confusion and improves the overall flow within the store.

For staff, dynamic LED signals can alert them to potential unauthorised exits or attempts at theft and overall improving security and reducing shop lifting in the store, while remaining unobtrusive or affecting user experience.
