Minimise the risk of costly data and property theft with our intelligent automated security doors that prevent unauthorised access while maintaining ease of passage for users.
With all commercial buildings the protection of property and sensitive data is a critical consideration. Ensuring that entry is secure around the clock while the building remains accessible throughout day and night can be a challenge for operational efficiency. Additional resource can be given to security staff to monitor entry and exit as a layer of protection, but without the correct entry system in place, your building is still at risk of physical and digital theft.
With an automatic door that’s capable of delivering intelligent access while maintaining a high level of security, reliance on security staff and the potential for human error compromising your property and data can be reduced. Alongside perimeter security measures, surveillance and environmental monitoring, automatic doors can add to a multi-layer approach to protection for entry into the building or facility.
The cost of physical breaches
According to the Cost of a Data Breach Report 2024, published by IBM Security, six per cent of data breaches occur through physical security compromises. Reducing the likelihood of these breaches is not only about minimising reputational damage, but also financial loss. And with the average cost of data breaches up nearly 11% over 2023 to around $5m, whatever can be done to mitigate risk of physical security compromises needs to be a priority for all businesses.
It is not just the loss of data that can be costly for businesses. Property is also at risk and not just from external threats. Employee theft is presenting a problem for corporations. Insurer Zurich has reported a significant rise in claims for commercial crime, with companies on average facing losses of £140,000, and is urging firms to ensure they have the right measures in place to protect against workforce theft. Placing a physical barrier between employees and areas where data, high value IT equipment and property is stored can reduce the chance of theft.
Automatic protection from physical and digital theft
At Gunnebo Entrance Control we design automatic doors that secure buildings, property and data round the clock while maintaining accessibility for authorised personnel of all abilities. Helping buildings and facilities to conform to relevant security level requirements, our automatic doors are available in a range of specifications for specific applications:

HiSec2 LPS
As our motorised security portal solution for high security and critical national infrastructure sites, HiSec2 LPS has been third-party certified to C5 (LPS 1175) resistance to forced entry attempts and resists attacks from a variety of tools. Providing facilities with an automated internal (semi-external) interlocked door with contactless entry and exit for authorised users, HiSec2 LPS maintains a physical barrier between secure and unsecure areas. Its high transparency minimises visual impact and reduces blind spots.
With a tablet-based user interface, HiSec2 LPS is easy to set-up without needing access to control electronics and informs users when improper use has occurred. It’s also loaded with intelligent security features to stop unauthorised entry and can eliminate the need for localised security guarding. As a surface mounted solution that eliminates the need for disturbing flooring it is an ideal retrofit solution for protecting data and property and comes in a range of diameters in round and square versions.
HiSec2
HiSec2 is our motorised internal security portal for a wider range of public and commercial buildings, including financial institutions, government, gyms, data centres and pharmaceutical premises. While lacking the C5 certified rating of HiSec2 LPS, the system provides facilities with an automated internal (semi-external) interlocked door to maintain a highly secure physical barrier between secure and unsecure areas. High transparency and square and round versions help to uphold high aesthetics while also minimising blind spots. HiSec2 is also available up to 1500mm internal diameter for wheelchair users.
Giving 24-hour security, HiSec2 features intelligent security measures to prevent unauthorised access while its keyless entry delivers ease of use. It can also be configured for access without authorisation. Sharing the same intelligent measures as HiSec2 LPS, including piggyback prevention and redundant sensors to stop sensor blocking, HiSec2 is easy to set-up and uses a tablet-based interface for programming and monitoring. Just like its LPS equivalent, it’s surface mounted to eliminate the need for disturbing flooring and is an ideal retrofit solution for the detection and prevention of unauthorised access.

GyroSec
For public and commercial buildings, data centres, banking and government, GyroSec is an automated revolving door that can be used at external entrances for round the clock secure access without the need for local security guarding. It has been designed to uphold aesthetic integrity and a high-level of transparency, so that buildings benefit from an attractive and secure building entry. With simultaneous bi-directional passage and contactless entry, GyroSec maintains easy passage for authorised users while its packed full of security features that prevent unwelcome access.
GyroSec has piggyback protection that stops and reverses the rotating doors to prevent users entering and redundant sensors to eliminate sensor blocking. It is also highly customisable to meet specific application requirements with upgrades including stainless steel casework, customisable paint, manual attack resistance, ballistic resistance, night shutter and breakout functionality. EN 16005 certified, GyroSec is available in a wide range of diameters, passage heights and cornice heights for a versatile solution for detection and prevention of unauthorised access at your building’s entrance.
