Background
A food manufacturing facility located on the U.S. Gulf Coast required a specialized entrance control solution to address both high-security needs and environmental challenges. Following a security breach involving a former employee gaining unauthorized re-entry, the company sought a reliable and accessible system that would prevent tailgating and piggybacking while maintaining a smooth operational flow. The site, exposed to coastal weather conditions, also necessitated durable, corrosion-resistant equipment suitable for outdoor use.
Challenge
The breach exposed vulnerabilities in the facility’s perimeter security, particularly regarding unauthorized access. The turnstiles were custom-manufactured in stainless steel to withstand salt spray and coastal corrosion, with each unit fitted with integrated canopies to protect users from the elements.
