PasSec
Arrivals gate that prevents passengers from turning back into secure areas
Our PasSec speed gate provides robust security at airport arrivals by preventing passengers from returning into secure or sensitive areas once cleared.
As passengers arrive at their destination airport, PasSec gates enable fast flow of high passenger volumes and prevent any passenger from returning or passing from landside back to airside.
Features and benefits
Fast and simple
Passengers can move through freely with no need for ID or documentation
Flexible control
Gates can be monitored locally in person or remotely to minimise staffing levels
Advanced detection
Superior detection algorithm prevents return to secure areas once cleared
One-way solution
Located ideally in spaces between Immigration Control and Baggage Reclaim, PasSec prevents passengers collecting luggage and inadvertently attempting to go back to airside areas.
Alternatively, PasSec can be located after Customs and before the open landside area. This helps to prevent unauthorized access to the baggage claim and any secondary exit to duty free areas by the general public.
Passage sensors
The multiple sensors in PasSec analyze the movement of passengers, detect their direction and position of travel, and activating the doors accordingly.
Should a person attempt to reverse their direction of travel, this will be detected and the sensors will instruct the doors to close and trigger an alarm.
PasSec sensors also detect when someone leaves luggage items in the unit.
Operating Modes
A key selector enables PasSec to be operated in four modes:
- Automatic: Unidirectional in the exit direction only
- Interlocking: Unidirectional controlled passage
- Maintenance: No control in either direction
- Locked: Walkway closed and locked
You can also remotely select automatic, interlocked and locked modes, as well as operate both entry and exit doors.
